The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) at TABA is a dedicated group of Builders, developers, and interested parties with a keen interest and expertise in working with the local governments in Bell County.  The GAC works diligently to monitor regulatory issues that impact the building industry and remains an active and influential arm of TABA.

The GAC provides direction and guidance to the Government Affairs Director and assists with policy development and advocacy efforts.  Together they craft responses to local ordinances and policy changes on behalf of the membership. The majority of the GAC either currently serve or have previous experience on city boards, such as planning and zoning commissions, Chamber of Commerce boards, Economic Development Corporation boards, or local utility boards.

The GAC committee meets monthly but has various sub-committees that meet on a more frequent basis as needed.
